Early Preservation
After withdrawal from London Country service, MB90 went through a number of owners before being used as a film location dining vehicle by Location Facilities of Feltham. At this point the centre doors were removed and the inside converted with a kitchen and tables installed.
In 1990 MB90 was purchased for preservation by Chris Sullivan and moved to Borehamwood Travel Services where the restoration was started.
The centre doors were re-instated using MBA580 as a donor, and the entire wooden framework was replaced and a repanel completed. Chris also stripped out the interior and started putting seats back in.
